EOCA Online Conservation Vote Now Open!

EOCA Online Conservation Vote Now Open!

It’s that time of the year again! The European Outdoor Conservation Association’s (EOCA) bi-annual vote is upon us! If you have an interest in protecting or restoring wild spaces, species, or habitats, we want you to help us decide which conservation projects will be awarded up to €30,000…

The EOCA spring vote—which has taken place each year for the past 6 years—allows the public to help EOCA choose the conservation projects most deserving of funding. All projects are sorted into one of three categories, with the most-voted for project in each category gaining funding of up to €30,000. The three categories are:

  • Alpine
All projects that are located at higher altitudes including mountain-based projects

  • Nature
Any project that is concerned with the conservation of a specific species or habitat.

  • Outdoor
All projects that located in places were people go to walk, to bike, or to enjoy other outdoor activities.\

As well as helping to raise funding and international awareness for various conservation projects, the EOCA voting process is also crucial in raising awareness of the work EOCA—and its member companies—are doing to help conserve and protect wild spaces. In 2015 alone, a staggering 31.5 million people were made aware of critical conservation issues all over the world.

To learn more about the various projects looking for funding this spring, or if you’d like to cast your vote, please visit http://www.outdoorconservation.eu/.

Both the Outdoor and Nature categories are open until March 15th, while the Alpine category will remain open until March 22nd. Don’t miss out!
